Mark Hirleman is the Founder, Owner, and Managing Broker of Lion Realty & Property Management. A devoted father and committed follower of Jesus, he actively serves as the “CFO” of his local church-plant congregation, demonstrating his leadership both professionally and within his community.
Recognized as Colorado Springs’ premier expert in student housing, Mark oversees nearly 500 bedrooms under management. His unparalleled experience as a Realtor in the Cragmor neighborhood is evident, having been involved in over 100 transactions since 2018.
With a real estate career spanning decades, Mark purchased his first home in 2001 at just 19 years old and obtained his real estate license the following year. By the age of 21, he was already managing over 20 student housing bedrooms. His extensive experience and passion for real estate led to the founding of Lion Realty in 2020.

La Rinda Sterling
Director of Operations
La Rinda brings 15 years of diverse experience to her role as Director of Operations, having further sharpened her skills with a business degree she earned in 2019. Her expertise spans college housing, single-family leasing, marketing, and client relations. Known for her ability to foster a productive and enjoyable work environment, she excels as both a supportive leader and enthusiastic mentor.
In addition to her operational acumen, La Rinda shines in event coordination, organizing college tabling and resident events to boost community engagement. Her passion for property management is evident in her meticulous care for each property, earning her the endearing title of “neighborhood mom” from her residents.
Outside of work, La Rinda enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, and indulging her love for fantasy and retro culture. Mention Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, and you’re in for a lively discussion!

Kara Pierce
Office Manager
Kara fell in love with Colorado Springs when she moved here from Arizona in 2012. After speeding through high school and starting in property management as a leasing agent at 17, she quickly advanced to property manager by 18.
As an Office Manager, Kara excels in budget management, capital projects, leasing, and owner/resident relations. She’s dedicated to keeping owners happy, saving money, and solving resident issues creatively. Often the friendly voice you’ll hear when you call in, she is happy to help with anything you may need.
When she’s not working, Kara enjoys relaxing in a hammock and spending time with her husband, Sam, and their two beloved cats, Gamora and Gandalf.

Maintenance Manager
Justin brings 20 years of extensive maintenance experience to his role, expertly managing tasks such as planning and scheduling work orders, ensuring safety compliance, and overseeing inventory. His skills cover a wide range, including inspections, appliance diagnostics, turnovers, cosmetic repairs, basic electrical and plumbing work, and drywall repairs.
Recognized for his dedication to resident relations, Justin has earned the reputation of King of 5-star reviews, consistently delivering outstanding service and fostering positive interactions with residents. His broad expertise and commitment to excellence make him a standout in the maintenance field.
When he’s not working, Justin enjoys spending quality time with his amazing wife and children, along with their dogs. He also loves traveling in his RV and has a deep passion for all things horror.
